That’s amazing work, Antonina, well done! I would love to do the same, specially if it’s online. Is there a link or email that you could share? Thanks!
Some of it is online - but it really depends on the area and on the type of document. Metric books are online for some more central areas (def all of St Petersburg's are) but some other documents aren't, it's all a bit of mess (although you can order things to be scanned and set to you too, for a fee). Also access is often via Gosuslugi so you'd need to use VPN (I use https://vpn-naoborot.online/) AND someone on the inside to pay for access from a Russian card. Try a consultation with Maria, she would be able to point you in the right direction and explain the best way to approach everything based on info you currently have: https://www.instagram.com/from_past_with_love/.
Omg that's so cool! Can you find any of their works?! No artists in mine so far, although Vasily that I wrote in this post was a maker of jewellery boxes but I've not been able to find out anything of what they might have looked like (none has survived, not on our side of the family anyway).
I am really lucky that Mauritius has a brilliant art and historical society so I can find some of his paintings online. They also have a mini biography for him. I hope you manage to find more information on Vasily's jewellery boxes. It is fabulous when you manage to uncover snippets of information or items that are related. Good luck with all your digging!

Thank you! That’s so interesting!
Oh this is fascinating! I am obsessed with researching my tree too and so totally get it, you can get so lost in it!
Ah nice to know I'm not the only one! It's all so fascinating, isn't it?!
It really is. I have found so many interesting people. Just recently discovered a painter from the French Mauritian part of my tree. Love it!
