Hope in the dark

These past few years have been quite something.
I turned 40 just as England was going into its first COVID lockdown, the world ground to a halt, and everything changed.
And I'm turning 45 this year as the world is seemingly spinning out of control, with environmental disasters and attacks on human rights escalating worldwide - including here in the UK - and things looking less certain day after day.
To be honest, at several points over the past year and a half, ever since I got “radicalised” (I’m using the word in quotes because it’s not that, it’s basic humanity) by the genocide in Palestine and finally took my head out of the sand about the realities of the climate emergency which is only exacerbated by all the wars, I have felt like continuin…
